NRG is pleased to be working alongside a fantastic organisation in Consett. The organisation is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer.
This manufacturing process is a slow paced high value environment.
Identifying, developing and implementing process improvements in line with company strategy
Identifying, developing and implementing new bespoke manufacturing / test machinery
Carry out root cause analysis of production / customer failures through 8D methodology
Complete machinery risk assessments
Assisting with improving health and safety management system including participation at regular health and safety meeting
Knowledge ISO 9001 would be beneficial
Support / Lead shop floor improvement activities
Support / Lead maintenance activity using maintenance control tools
You have to coordinate maintenance, you don’t conduct any maintenance activities
Development and improvement of SOP’s
Support / Lead efficiency recording and improvement of production activity
Regular reports to customers may be required
Programming of CNC production machines
A knowledge of this process would be beneficial, but not essential
Process planning creation and time monitoring
Candidates must have circa 5year’s industrial experience in a similar role preferable within the manufacturing sector
Candidates must have an excellent working knowledge of CAD design and the production of drawings for manufacture, experience in Solidworks is highly desirable
Knowledge and the interpretation of drawings is required, training can be provided on this
Candidates must have knowledge of manufacturing processes. A working knowledge of Laser Drilling, Laser Welding, Forming, is highly desirable
These areas can be trained or discussed, but some knowledge is preferred
Due to the nature of the organisation several key tasks are required, however training and support can be provided on certain responsibilities.. The core accountability is to oversee and improve the manufacturing process. The organisation is looking for someone to grow and develop with the organisations technology and client advancements.
Salary: £30k - £35k.
