NRG are working with Raytec who are a global market leader in CCTV lighting, providing a range of LED illuminators to create a safer global environment. Having been established since 2005 with offices in Northumberland and Canada, they are looking to grow their team with a successful Business Development Manager to join their Hazardous Division (Export). This person will be based at the HQ in Ashington, Northumberland. However, you can also be based in France or Germany as these are their two main markets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for growing the export sales of the hazardous area division within the company as well as building the distribution network in export markets. You will also be managing existing client relationships to maximise the long term sales in the organisation.
Establish a strong distribution network for Raytec hazardous area products
Identify, pursue and deliver new sales revenue opportunities for Raytec
Maximise revenue from existing customers
Retain existing customers
Engage new customers
Day to day contact with key accounts and customers
Initial point of contact for pricing and product availability
Specify the correct products for customers
Provide all the supporting information and technical knowledge to allow our customers to win projects against the competition
First line technical support and troubleshooting
Track projects from enquiry to delivery
A key part of the role is educating and training key customers.
Attend trade shows and exhibitions
Attend face to face meetings with customers
Manage and set your own appointments
Keep an up to date sales project list
Achieve sales targets
Skills and experience:
You must be able to demonstrate in person your sales success in previous roles and the approach you take to generate new relationships
Excellent understanding of ATEX IEC Ex requirements
Able to learn, retain and make use of technical information
Proven track record of achievements and business development
Strong negotiation skills
Good presentation skills
Strong commercial awareness
Experience of working in B2B sales
Energetic and passionate about a career in sales whilst being able to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to build relationships with new customers and in new markets
