My client, based in Newcastle city centre are looking for a Business Manager to join their team for a period of 15 months to cover maternity leave.
The successful candidate will be AAT qualified with at least 5 years’ experience working in a similar position and be proficient in the use of Sage Accounts, Sage Payroll and Microsoft Office, including Excel. You will be an excellent verbal and written communicator with strong attention to detail, highly organised, proactive and professional.
Summary of the Core Duties
Finance, Payroll & Business Services
Manage the day to day finances for both companies using Sage 50 Accounts including monthly P&L, management accounts and forecasts, cashflows, sales and purchase ledgers, communicating, regularly with the Directors.
VAT returns and Annual Confirmation returns ensuring Companies House is up to date.
Monthly payroll processing, reporting to HMRC using Sage 50 Payroll and pension scheme management
Insurance policies renewals
Liaison with landlord’s representative
First point of contact for IT issues, liaising with external IT support if appropriate.
Software maintenance, subscriptions renewals
Inductions for new starters, maintain personal files and monitor sickness
Ensuring policies and procedures are up to date with current legislation and that the office is a safe place to work
