Are you an experienced, professional Financial Controller with a passion for Financial Management and Compliance? I'm working on one of the more quirky roles in Northumberland on the look out for a Qualified Financial Controller.
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, main duties will include:
** Develop and maintain all necessary financial procedures
** Responsibility for the running of the day to day accounting function
** Accurate recording of all financial transactions
** Manage the finance team, ensuring they are adequately trained, coached and motivated – carrying out reviews, appraisals and development plans
** Delegate tasks to your team accordingly
** Assist in the preparation of Annual budgets
** Prepare cash flows
** Production and preparation of Management Accounts and Financial reports
** Run Quarter-End procedures correctly – producing reports for each business unit
** Provide and produce timely and accurate financial information for Senior Management and Budget holders
** Manage quarterly VAT reconciliations and VAT liabilities
** Manage Capital Gains Tax transactions
** Participate in Operational Project planning – ensuring projects are budgeted correctly
** Review, streamline and improve accounting and operational systems
** Assist with Year-End
This role will suit a Qualified Accountant with strong budget prep and management skills. A knowledge of VAT requirements is essential too.
An advanced Excel user would revel in this role.
