NRG is pleased to be working alongside a fantastic organisation in the search for a Supply Chain Manager. The position is located on the outskirts of Teesside and may require some partial international travel to the HQ.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the co-ordination of activities from customer schedules through procurement to finished goods

  • Ensure scheduling, forecasting, material and production planning activities are managed effectively to enable Production Operations

  • Effectively lead, manage, coach and develop team members to achieve department and business KPIs

  • Undertake relevant people management activities as required such as appraisals, setting SMART objectives, recruitment, attendance control, discipline

  • Strive to ensure 100% customer on-time delivery at all times

  • Build and maintain good working relationships with other plant functions

  • Ensure material for production arrives on time to the site, is as economical as possible

  • Ensure effective transport / shipping arrangements and procedures are in place and these are monitored and reviewed regularly for performance and cost effectiveness

  • Build and maintain good working relationships with customers and suppliers

  • Understand fast manufacturing

  • Have working experience of LEAN and Continuous improvement methodologies

  • Identify cost savings and implement changes as required.

  • Oversee the implementation of new packaging and associated cost calculations.

  • Lead and control the customs process for international dispatch.

Candidate Specification:

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g. logistics / supply chain management, manufacturing management, business management, purchasing, economics, industrial engineering)

  • Ideally a member of CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply)

  • Must have experience at a Senior Management level in a similar role within supply-chain and logistics

  • Must have experience of working within a high volume manufacturing environment and have

  • Experience of supplying to OEM/Tier 1
