IT Manager

To lead the development and maintenance of core IT systems. The role will balance ensuring that the day to day needs of users are met, reviewing IT systems to maximise productivity as well as providing input into the long term IT needs of a growing business.


Reporting to: Finance Director


Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain existing IT systems

    • Managing security, integrity and back up procedures

    • Testing and modifying systems to ensure they operate securely and reliably

    • Manage outsourced IT support providers

    • Oversee scheduled upgrades and maintenance

    • Train users on systems and best working practices


  • Evaluating the functionality of systems

    • Map out systems to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies

    • Consult with IT users to ascertain users needs


  • Identify and implement new systems to support changing business needs

    • Development of new website

    • Customise systems to support new tenders and client specifications

    • Advise on the selection and purchase of IT equipment

    • Transition of systems to cloud


  • Develop and maintain IT compliance policies

    • Cyber essentials certification

    • GDPR system requirements
