NIAL is seeking an experienced Inbound Tourism Manager to maximise inbound passengers flying to the UK from any one of their new and existing travel routes. Overseeing a large client portfolio, the role will involve extensive travel within the UK and worldwide.
Inbound Tourism Manager Responsibilities:
Identify inbound tourism opportunities from new and existing air routes;
Undertake feasibility studies to assess potential new inbound markets;
Liaise with Destination Management Organisations (DMOs) to create itineraries, bookable product and coordinate overseas campaigns;
Work with North East destinations & attractions to produce marketing plans;
Strengthen relationships with airlines serving existing and future inbound markets;
Attend overseas travel trade events and take part in UK trade delegations;
Review using market research the effectiveness of campaigns and investment;
Support a collaborative approach to tourism in the North East;
Proven track record of B2B / B2C sales and marketing within travel and tourism;
Established contacts and knowledge within the travel and/or tourism industry;
Educated to degree level in tourism/marketing or related subject.
Ability to engage stakeholders, and develop and maintain productive partnerships;
Self-starter with ability to work independently within a multi-disciplinary team;
Ability to oversee research projects and to put in place short, medium and long term plans;
Ability to give convincing presentations with excellent wider communication skills;
