NRG are working with a pioneer in the technology sector to recruit a Lead Platform Developer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical management of their team, including being responsible for quality, timescales and day-to-day work allocation within the structure of the incoming work pipelines with a focus on delivery and quality of both customer facing and internal websites.
Strive to continually improve the functionality and quality of websites across all non UK territories.
Co-ordinate and prioritise deliverables to maximise improvements across all non UK territories.
Work with all in-country teams to agree a common roadmap for development.
Have scalability and re-use as a principle for improvement.
Champion functional standards and ensure all internal policies and procedures are strictly adhered to at all times.
Contribute to the design and implementation of strategic technical projects ensuring full and proper handover to support teams.
Project responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Business/Technical analysis to gather requirements and convert into specification / deliverables.
Strive to ensure wherever possible agreed timelines and project deliverables are met and to communicate appropriately when this is not possible.
Identify performance and delivery shortcomings.
Co-ordination and allocation of tasks to project team members.
Tracking project progress and presenting progress and risks / issues at regular management meetings.
Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
Ensure consistency and quality of mentoring within own team.
Be responsible for personal development of the team members.
Be comfortable leading teams using a coaching approach.
Create an environment which allows team members to excel and grow
Demonstrate a high degree of empathy and emotional intelligence.
Provide ad-hoc on-call to support team should an incident occur which requires specialist knowledge or with a project being managed.
Keep abreast of industry developments in the technical arena and make recommendations to management and operations team where appropriate.
Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
Multiple stakeholder management.
Project management (agile environment).
Proficient with Microsoft .NET 3.5+ development using C#
In depth knowledge and experience with core Microsoft .Net technologies including: WCF, WPF, WF, LINQ and EF
Extensive experience designing and developing enterprise grade software
Experience with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment environments
Experience with automated testing
