Training and Development Manager

NRG are currently recruiting for a Training and Development Manager to join our client who operates within the Financial Services sector based in Newcastle upon Tyne.


Duties of the role include:-

  • Undertake telephone based compliance and supervision coaching with advisers in line with the firms business practice manual, directives and training & development scheme


  • Identify the training needs of new and existing colleagues by liaising with business quality team


  • Attend consistency meetings with the business quality team


  • Contribute to the design and delivery of training and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation and the individual

  • Record and report monthly MI accurately reflecting training and development activity carried out by the team.


  • Assist the business standards director to ensure that statutory training requirements are met


  • Provide updates on trainee progression, general attitude and adherence to company policies and procedures


  • Undertake any further duties determined as reasonable and necessary in fulfilment of role


  • Define and provide evidence (record keeping) of competence for all authorised advisers, both attaining & maintaining competence


  • Supervise, coach and mentor trainee advisers (or those deemed as non-competent)


  • Act as a coach / mentor for the training & development team to enable them to attain & maintain competence in line with regulatory obligations


  • Assist on adhoc projects as and when required


To be considered for the role you must:-

  • Have 3 years financial services industry experience

  • Be qualified to Diploma Standard

  • Have knowledge of UK regulatory framework

  • Have previous experience of training and/or coaching individuals
