NRG are working with a higher education provider in Newcastle who is recruiting for a Business Development Manager who will be appointed until 31st July 2018.
This role will have a focus on developing and managing relationships with businesses, public and third sector clients which generate and deliver collaborative and contract research, consultancy, continuing professional development (CPD), degree/higher apprenticeships, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs), the hiring out of facilities and equipment, identification and commercial exploitation of intellectual property and other entrepreneurial activities.
Essential skills and experience required:
A proven track record of successfully managing commercial clients
Excellent knowledge of policy, practices, processes, procedures and systems relevant to the role
Highly organised, analytical, strong project and time management skills as well as being able to set clear agendas and objectives
Ability to meet and exceed targets and KPIs
Highly proactive attitude with strong customer focus
Ability to rapidly establish relationships with potential clients leading to contracts
Outward focused, entrepreneurial, driven and commercial attitude
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations and pitches
