As primary contact for the Society’s intermediaries you will be responsible for supporting the field based business development team in developing new intermediary relationships, whilst maintaining existing relationships and ensuring that sales and service standard objectives are achieved. You will deliver the best possible customer experience whilst adhering to internal policies and procedures at all times.
Support the field based business development team in developing new intermediary relationships and maintaining existing intermediary relationships.
Proactively promote and sell the Society’s products and services to the intermediary market ensuring the Society’s annual sales objectives are achieved.
Have a full understanding and ability to interpret the Society’s Risk Appetite / Lending Policy.
Deal with all intermediary telephone/email enquiries including providing guidance on the Society’s lending criteria.
Ensure the intermediary panel / records are accurately kept up to date in line with requirements.
Review and agree/refer or decline Decisions in Principles (DIPs) in line with the Society’s Risk Appetite / Lending Policy.
Undertake an initial assessment of all mortgage applications received ensuring it meets the Society’s lending criteria and recommend/package for underwriting approval.
Request additional information, communicate lending decisions and provide case updates to intermediaries and customers on a timely basis.
Ensure that professional standards are delivered within agreed service standards.
Identify improvements within the department and service standards.
Produce and distribute accurate management information on a timely basis.
From time to time represent the Society at external meetings and/or events.
