Role Description:

An opportunity exists to help a start-up digital bank drive forward its analytics capability from the ground up.


The Data Analyst role will provide management information, analysis and forecasting to key stakeholders around the business They will be responsible for assisting in and delivering the design, provision and production of a suite of management information to support the new business processes and relationships. These will include


  • tracking and forecasting of business volumes, analysis of metrics and quality data,

  • tracking market share and share of wallet, identifying opportunities and gaps in the market,

  • providing account and market data for the Account Management teams

  • measuring operational performance

  • Deep-dive analysis to understand to gain insight and seek potential solutions to business performance issues

  • generating MI packs and providing support for Committee and Regulatory reports as required.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of reports and monitoring tools

  • Forecasting of business volumes and metrics

  • Provide reporting and analytical support to our Management Committees, Account Management Teams and distribution partners

  • Delivering analysis to support key strategic projects

  • Delivering ad hoc analysis to provide key insight into business performance


Essential Capabilities/Experience:

  • Degree in a highly numerate discipline (e.g. Maths/Statistics/Economics or similar)

  • Good working knowledge of Excel

  • Good communication skills - able to present analysis at all levels of the business and to non-specialists

  • A self-starter with excellence time management skills

  • Experience of data analysis and/or programming tools, such as SQL, R, Python, SAS or similar


Desired Capabilities/Experience:

  • Tableau or other data visualisation tools

  • Supporting campaign analysis and targeting

  • Knowledge of Scala programming language.

  • Delivering analysis and/or reporting in a Financial services environment,

  • Experience in dealing with large data sets
