Interim Payroll Manager

NRG are recruiting for an experienced Payroll Manager to join our head office team based in Quorum Park, Newcastle; on a 15-month fixed term contract, commencing mid-April 2021.

This rare opportunity to be part our highly successful and experienced finance team, will see an accomplished payroll manager join us to deliver weekly and monthly payroll for our thriving recruitment business.

The Payroll function is a key component of our candidate and client journey. The Payroll Manager will lead the weekly payroll for hundreds of temporary workers on PAYE contracts, and they will deliver monthly staff payroll for NRG’s employees.

Up to date knowledge of payroll legislation is key, as is engagement with third party auditors and accurate HMRC record keeping. Experience of using the Merit payroll system is also highly desirable.

It is essential that the successful applicant be able to demonstrate a high level of competence in leading a payroll function; and it would be highly beneficial to have experience of both permanent staff payroll and temporary PAYE payroll, including key legislation such as Agency Worker Regulations (AWR).
