Developing initiatives to foster an inclusive culture

‘Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging in the North East’ is a group set up as a safe place for business leaders in the North East to discuss and share ideas as you start, or continue your journey towards creating a fully inclusive workplace where everyone feels they belong.

In the spotlight for the first virtual meet-up of 2021 is Patrick Price, Lead for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion across Northumberland County Council and Northumbria Healthcare Trust.

Patrick is responsible for leading their respective Equality, Diversity & Inclusion strategies and is also the co-chair of both organisation’s LGBT+ staff network groups. He works with the executive and senior leadership team to ensure the organisations go beyond their responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010 to create cultures that are truly inclusive.

His session will focus on his personal journey in employment as an out gay man leading to the development of initiatives to develop inclusive cultures including the creation of seven network groups to support staff and to foster a culture of belonging.

Time:      11am – 12pm
