The Future of Work isn’t just about artificial intelligence, virtual reality, or the growth of the Gig Economy. It’s not just about the emergence of new business models or roles that have never existed before. It is about people. Often referred to as any organisation’s greatest asset, it is obviously important that they are talented, skilled and trained, but it is critical that they are also engaged in their roles. Engaged employees feel empowered and inspired to perform to the best of their abilities, deliver excellent customer experiences and achieve organisational goals.
At a time when many organisations are recording engagement and satisfaction at all-time lows, the latest technology is starting to open up opportunities to creatively enable employee engagement.
Join CIPD, NRG and greenbean by NRG for a breakfast workshop at Newcastle University Business School to explore the opportunities, in an increasingly-connected and changing world, to build participation, motivation and commitment in a workforce with different perspectives, needs and values.
This interactive event will allow you to;
- Consider presentations from global experts in gamification
- Engage in round table discussions on improving engagement
- Take away ideas and learn from established good practices
This event will be of particular value to anyone who is currently considering how they can improve engagement amongst their people and wish to understand how to make use of new and evolving digital solutions. It is also a great opportunity to network with colleagues to discuss how this can be achieved.
The workshop will start with an introductory presentation from Motivait:
Andrzej Marczweski is a Senior Gamification Solution Designer at Motivait and a regular speaker at events and congresses internationally. He has consistently led the worldwide Gamification Gurus ranking and is recognised as a world expert in gamification and intrinsic motivation. He has led international research projects, published extensively and developed key approaches which are often used as core academic material for this field. In 2016 he was recognised with the Greatest Industry Contribution Award at the Gamification World Congress.
Bill Paris leads the UK business for Motivait with specific responsibility for its employee engagement solutions market. Following a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bill managed large teams in manufacturing environments before his interest in people, and what motivates them, led him to develop a career in Human Resources. Subsequently, his career extended into the world of executive recruitment, specialising in the HR market for over 10 years. Having worked in large corporates as well as smaller privately owned businesses, Bill is a passionate advocate of the business value that an engaged workforce brings.
