Technical Sales Support Engineer

About the role

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Support Engineer to join our Market Leading Utilities Automation client based in Gateshead with a salary of range of £35,000 - £50,000.

Key Activities:

  • Tendering Support

  • Sales Support

  • Customer Solutions Management

  • Customer requirement analysis

  • Solution configuration

  • Application Engineering

  • Tender compliance

  • Proposal support

Experience:

  • Proven technical sales support 2 – 4 years minimum

  • Strong application engineering background in control and automation projects

  • Experience in supporting customers with new solutions

  • Analysing requirements & proposing technical solutions and services

  • Supporting technical and commercial proposals

Desirable:

  • Experience with Power utilities

  • Technical sales support experience in any of the following: Active network management, smart grid solutions, SCADA, protection, substation automation, distribution automation, renewable energy, or communications

  • Technical qualification in one of the following software/hardware electrical engineering

Personal Qualities:

  • Enthusiastic with a strong technical background

  • Interested in technical sales and customer interaction

  • Good commercial understanding

  • Committed to customer satisfaction whilst maintaining professional and technical standards

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to influence others
