About the role

We are currently looking for a Sales Manager to join a Market Leading Utilities Automation company, to build and manage customer relationships, positioning for new opportunities-with a typical sales cycle of 6 month to 1 year.

Salary of £50,000-£60,000 with the opportunity for a 10% bonus, based on performance.

This position will be working remotely.

Key Activities:

• Technical sales of existing/new products and solutions into the power utility market and other sectors

• Promoting and presenting products, solutions and expertise

• Tendering of technical and commercial proposals

• Driving any necessary customer approvals and certifications required for new business

• Pre-qualification for opportunities

• Regular travel in UK will be required for pursuing opportunities

Experience:

• Proven technical sales 2 – 4 years minimum

• Demonstrable ability to identify and develop sales opportunities and to market technical solutions and services

• Strong application engineering background in control and automation projects

• Experience in producing technical and commercial proposals

• Delivering sales targets

Desirable Experience:

• Experience in selling to Power Utilities

• Electrical Engineering qualifications

• Sales experience in any of the following: Active network management, smart grid solutions, SCADA, protection, substation automation, distribution automation, renewable energy, or communications

Person Qualities:

• A results-driven individual with determination to deliver whilst maintaining professional and technical standards

• Sales driven and enthusiastic with a strong technical background

• The ability to identify and cultivate long term business relationships
