About the role

We’re supporting a well-established organisation with a strong market presence and ongoing growth. This is a key role within the central finance function, offering exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to make a tangible impact.

The role

This is a high-impact role where you will lead financial reporting, technical accounting and governance across a complex group structure. You will act as the go-to person for reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance and best practice, while also driving improvements across the wider finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles, including group consolidation

• Own statutory accounts preparation and external reporting requirements

• Act as the technical accounting lead across IFRS and UK GAAP

• Oversee tax compliance, including VAT, Corporation Tax and other regulatory obligations

• Manage relationships with external auditors and advisors

• Support budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting processes

• Contribute to acquisitions, finance projects and process improvements

• Strengthen financial controls, governance and reporting frameworks

About you

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

• Strong background in financial reporting and technical accounting

• Experience within a multi-entity or complex environment

• Working knowledge of tax and compliance requirements

• Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders across the business

• Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
