We are delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation in the Education sector for an exciting new vacancy in which you will be the leading member of the School Finance Office.
Based in Durham, this role of Finance Manager involves hybrid working and has a salary of up to £42,155.

The role:
Providing direct support to the Faculty Manager, you will work towards delivering high-quality financial support to departments, staff and students as well as external stakeholders, collaborators, and sponsors.
You will provide the necessary advice and guidance to ensure compliance with financial regulatory, policy and contractual obligations and have the relevant financial information to plan and deliver activities that will deliver the school’s strategic objectives with respect to research and teaching.
Your key duties will include:
Provide high-level financial support and advice to academic departments.
Managerial level with responsibility for the delivery of the full range of financial processes of relevance to academic units.
Work closely with Key Stakeholders to provide input to the proactive management of budgets and financial processes.
Manage operational finance service activities to ensure excellence in the stakeholder experience.
Internal and external relationship development and partnership working, networking and participation to engage and influence future services.
What you need:
Excellent oral and written communication skills, highly numerate and the ability to
develop excellent working relationships both internally and externally.
Highly developed IT skills, including detailed working knowledge of MS Windows
and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), Oracle and/or other financial management
systems
Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience).
CIMA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualified or finalist.
Experience of implementing policy and procedures and involvement with future changes in financial administration.
