Design Manager
Location: North East
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 (depending on experience) plus car allowance

Role Overview

A growing technical team in the North East is seeking a skilled Design Manager. This role involves overseeing the coordination of technical details across multiple projects and ensuring seamless communication between various stakeholders including consultants and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage design projects, ensuring all technical information is accurate and effectively shared

  • Communicate regularly with clients, architects, and structural engineers to resolve queries promptly

  • Provide leadership and line management to the design team, supporting their development and workflow

  • Ensure projects meet deadlines and comply with quality standards throughout the design process

  • Utilize BIM tools such as Revit and AutoCAD to develop and review architectural technical details

Candidate Profile

  • Holds an HNC, HND, or higher qualification in a relevant field

  • Has experience managing design projects within a technical or architectural environment

  • Is proficient in Autodesk software including Revit and AutoCAD, with experience working in BIM

  • Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle competing priorities

  • Possesses excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Works well within a team and upholds values such as integrity, quality, and innovation
