Cyber Security Consultant

UK remote working with travel to client sites

NRG is recruiting an experienced penetration tester to combine technical delivery with team leadership within a specialist security consultancy.

You’ll take ownership of complex assessments, support other consultants and help clients understand their vulnerabilities and the practical steps needed to address them.

Your responsibilities

• Plan and deliver infrastructure security assessments, acting as technical lead on CHECK assignments.

• Coach penetration testers and review their findings and reports.

• Manage client engagements, including on-site delivery, scoping and technical discussions.

• Translate testing results into clear remediation advice.

• Maintain testing quality and compliance with CHECK requirements.

What you’ll bring

• Substantial penetration testing experience across infrastructure, internal networks and web applications.

• Experience leading consultants and taking responsibility for client assignments.

• CCT INF or CSTL-INF certification.

• Confidence explaining technical risks to different audiences.

• UK right to work and eligibility for security clearance.
