Compliance Business Partner- London/South

The compliance department plays a critical role in ensuring the company operates with integrity, transparency, and in line with regulatory requirements. As a trusted business partner, we work closely with Senior Management and leadership teams, providing expert guidance on how to achieve corporate objectives while maintaining the highest standards of compliance.

Our primary responsibility is to assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential areas of risk that may impact the business. We actively monitor key processes, policies, and practices to ensure that remains compliant with all relevant regulations and industry standards. This helps safeguard the interests of our clients, employees, and stakeholders, while ensuring that we consistently deliver positive customer outcomes.

The role of Compliance Business Partner provides additional senior compliance resource to the Senior Compliance Manager across all aspects of Compliance. You will work directly with employees and management across company offices, Specialisms and Group companies, providing guidance, support, and advice on compliance requirements, policies, and procedures to meet the Groups standards.

While this role does not have line management responsibilities, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across the Group, influencing decision-making and embedding a culture of compliance.

You will help promote continual improvement in customer outcomes, implement and embed policies and procedures to guide how we work, and provide proactive, constructive advice on compliance and related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Support & Advisory

  • Act as initial point of contact for compliance support and advice (Business Partner) to provide clear, practical guidance on regulatory obligations, emerging risks and industry expectations.
  • Provide required support to the Senior Compliance Manager and the wider Compliance
  • Team to ensure effective delivery of compliance activities and priorities.
  • Use strong influencing skills to challenge constructively and secure commitment to compliant, customer-focused outcomes.
  • Support Conduct Risk mitigation through knowledge of departmental practices.
  • Provide input and communicate compliance and customer outcomes performance results to
  • Regional Managing Directors, Specialism Leads and management.

Regulation

  • Lead and deliver fair value and product reviews, assessing product performance customer outcomes and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct regular reviews of the Group Panels and Products Registers to ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct compliance reviews, thematic assessments and deep dives to identify risks, control weaknesses and opportunities for improvement,

Lloyds Expertise (Desirable)

  • Provide support and guidance on Lloyds processes and requirements where relevant.

Managing Relationships

  • Work with business stakeholders to resolve issues and outstanding information requests and support with queries in relation to Third Party relationships, working in conjunction with the Compliance Manager Appointed Representatives and Third Parties.

Training & Development

  • Develop and deliver training for new and existing staff, including onboarding, regulatory updates, and refresher topics.

Acquisition & Integration Support

Support integration activities, working in conjunction with the Compliance M&A Team and Senior Compliance Manager.
