An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Company Secretary team for a Governance & Risk Manager.

The post holder will be accountable for supporting the development and leading the implementation of governance and risk management strategies across the business.


Delivering and developing governance and risk management services, they will show leadership and people engagement across the Company Secretary service area and throughout Karbon Homes and its subsidiaries.


They will ensure the highest standards of support to the Board and its committees, and develop and manage a system of corporate assurance and reporting to the Executive Team, Board, Audit Committee and external regulators in respect of good governance and regulatory standards.


The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

  • A strong record of demonstrable achievement, at management level in an organisation of comparable size and complexity to Karbon Homes, in the delivery of governance and/or risk management services

  • A comprehensive working knowledge of governance and risk management services

  • Leadership skills and the ability to coach, motivate and engage others

  • Knowledge of current and future challenges facing the Company Secretary team, and an understanding of Company Secretary governance practices and issues

  • Ability to think strategically, to identify and manage risks and to make sound judgements.
