Business Development Manager
Newcastle

NRG are working with a higher education provider in Newcastle who is recruiting for a Business Development Manager who will be appointed until 31st July 2018.

 

This role will have a focus on developing and managing relationships with businesses, public and third sector clients which generate and deliver collaborative and contract research, consultancy, continuing professional development (CPD), degree/higher apprenticeships, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs), the hiring out of facilities and equipment, identification and commercial exploitation of intellectual property and other entrepreneurial activities.

 

Essential skills and experience required:

  • A proven track record of successfully managing commercial clients

  • Excellent knowledge of policy, practices, processes, procedures and systems relevant to the role

  • Highly organised, analytical, strong project and time management skills as well as being able to set clear agendas and objectives

  • Ability to meet and exceed targets and KPIs

  • Highly proactive attitude with strong customer focus

  • Ability to rapidly establish relationships with potential clients leading to contracts

  • Outward focused, entrepreneurial, driven and commercial attitude

  • Good communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations and pitches
