Management Accountant

My client, based in Seaham, are looking for a Management Accountant to join their Finance team.


As Management Accountant you will manage and supervise an Accounts Assistant and Purchase Ledger Clerk, whilst holding responsibility for the timely and accurate production of Monthly and Quarterly Management Accounts. In addition, you will provide detailed cost analysis reports over purchasing, direct costs and overheads and perform key balance sheet reconciliations whilst continously adapting and identifying areas of improvement within the management reports.



In order to be considered for this opportunity, your CV must demonstrate the following key criteria:


  • Accounting experience, preparing management accounts from trial balance and analysis of cost codes is essential

  • Ability to communicate, supervise and manage staff within the department

  • Strong Spreadsheet skills with Microsoft Excel is essential

  • Ability to develop and improve reports in line with requirements from Finance Manager but also to identify and improve reports which do not match their own presentation/numerical reporting standards


You must either qualified or part-qualified ACCA or CIMA and you will have excellent self-motivation, drive and the ability to manage own workload to achieve required targets/deadlines.
