NRG are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to join our manufacturing client based just outside of Newcastle city centre.

The role will support the Purchasing Controller to manage and co-ordinate administration tasks in an efficient and effective manner to ensure continuous operations throughout the site.

Duties of the role include:-

  • Ensure data is entered into SAP in time and to ensure output documents are right first time

  • Plan, co-ordinate and manage flow of materials to meet operational goals

  • Monitor KPI’s

  • Liaise with production areas to improve understanding of purchase requirements

  • Contribute to meeting company and departmental targets

  • Provide cover for Goods in and Stores

  • Support Purchasing Controller with administration tasks and ad-hoc duties as and when required

To be considered you must have:-

  • Recent and considerable experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • The ability to meet demanding and changing deadlines through effective prioritisation
