NRG are currently recruiting for a HR Business Partner to join our well known client who operates within the manufacturing sector based in Washington.

 

This is a full generalist position with a business partner focus leading the full range of HR activities at Plant level.

 

Duties of the role include:-

  • Act as a business partner to the Plant, supporting the Plant management team in the achievement of its business plan through maximising HR and people contribution

  • Be a positive role model and coach to HR Officer. Planning, directing and coordinating the work activities of HR Officer

  • Provide the organisation with expert advice and guidance on all employee relations matters including leading Plant HR activities for investigation, disciplinaries, grievances and Works Council/ union activities

  • Provide expert employment law advice to the organisation providing practical advice

  • Lead Plant recruitment activities providing expert guidance and ensuring recruitment policy/procedure is adhered to maximise operational effectiveness

  • Work with Plant Management team in designing and implementing appropriate structures to deliver organisational success including leading restructure/ redundancies processes when required

  • Lead Plant organisational talent review process from an HR perspective and support performance management issues as required

  • Advise on training requirements to key stakeholders within Plant providing effective, cost focused solutions, developing and delivering bespoke training solutions

To be considered for the role you must:-

  • Be CIPD qualified with a strong HR generalist background

  • Be comfortable working in a fast paced environment

  • Have excellent communication skills

  • Be passionate about providing a great HR Service
