Interim Project Accountant

Are you a qualified accountant with experience of ERP Implementation experience? Do you enjoy managing development/improvement projects to streamline processes and controls? If so, this could be the ideal project role for you!

 

As an experienced Project Accountant, you will join the finance team of a small and rapidly growing organisation in the Newcastle area for a period of 6 months and hold responsibility for the following:

 

  • Leading, training and rolling out systems development of Microsoft NAV including capital, purchase and sales orders, along with fixed asset deployment via support from external advisors

  • Streamlining all finance processes and controls via automation and standardisation

  • Leading reporting development across the finance function and to the wider business teams

  • Developing and documenting SOPs across the finance team

  • Supporting the integration and development of payroll, HR and finance reporting and analysis

  • Supporting the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process

  • Supporting the FC and BFP in ad-hoc projects

 

In order to be considered for this opportunity your CV must demonstrate the following key competencies:

 

  • ERP implementation experience

  • Microsoft NAV experience (preferred but not essential)

  • Project and task focused mentality

  • Comprehensive finance knowledge of processes and systems across the P&L and B/S

  • Ability to work alone and in a team across various functions to tight deadlines

  • Committed and hard working – project may require extended hours to compete at certain times during the month (recognition will be provided on this for time off in lieu etc)
