Due to a recent restructure within the finance team, there are a number of new vacancies!

As Finance Manager, you will be required to lead, develop and motivate a management accounts team in delivering an effective service to defined customer satisfaction measures, performance metrics, service standards, timescales and budgets which support the maintenance of strong financial process, governance and control. This will include providing high quality and consistent financial advice to Finance and Group colleagues and to challenge financial input when required to ensure the financial performance, reforecasts and budget processes are robust for their assigned areas of the Group.

 

The role is responsible for the timely submission of accurate management accounts to budget holders and to Group for consolidation, and through good relationship management will ensure the performance reported including issues/risks and opportunities for improvement are clearly understood by the business area.

 

 

In order to be considered for this opportunity, your CV must demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience

 

  • Professional qualification in accountancy e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, with significant post qualification experience.

  • Proficient in accounting standards with significant experience in producing management accounts, financial budgets and reforecasts together with variance commentary, VAT, appraisals and capital expenditure within a complex Group environment.

  • Experience in asset and component accounting with a good understanding of property development and maintenance, capital expenditure and grant applications.

  • Evidence of strong technical accounting skills with an ability to critically analyse and interpret financial information, identify issues and recommend and implement strategies to deal with them.

  • Extensive staff management experience with an ability to motivate colleagues to achieve objectives, prioritise team workload, co-ordinate activities and work under pressure to meet reporting deadlines.

  • Well-developed interpersonal and negotiating / influencing skills, with confidence and experience to constructively challenge Executive and Senior Management on their financial performance, as well as processes and controls.

  • Experience of developing and implementing a clear approach to complex issues in large and diverse organisations with the ability to work effectively with others to resolve or mitigate.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to write clear and concise reports, summarising the essence of complex issues and reaching well-argued and clear conclusions and recommendations

  • An experienced user of integrated financial systems and well developed skills using standard MS Office applications particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
