Northumbria Primary Care Limited (NPC) and Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management Limited (NHFM) are wholly-owned subsidiaries of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, one of the country’s top performing Foundation Trusts. We are looking to appoint a finance director who will operate across both subsidiaries, including sitting on each subsidiary Board of Directors.
This is a unique opportunity to drive significant change and improvement. The position will provide senior leadership, strategic management and commercial acumen across two diverse and evolving businesses.
As a Board director, the post holder will influence the strategic vision of two wholly-owned subsidiaries of NHFT. The post holder will be responsible, along with other Board directors, for the development and delivery of strategic objectives, oversight of performance and risk, use of resources, and delivery of services. Both businesses have been established to ultimately support the delivery of high quality care to patients across North Tyneside and Northumberland.
The post holder will drive the delivery of well-managed budgets and ensure the financial viability of both businesses. Rigorous contract management, robust delivery of agreed KPIs and project management will also be key features of the role. The post holder will have direct accountability to the subsidiary Boards and will be required to attend meetings of NHFT’s Board of Directors, Finance Investment & Performance Committee, and Audit Committee, where required.
