This is a 3rd line hands on role primarily responsible for the support of the Group network infrastructure, support applications and systems including the support and delivery of software and technology projects as set out by the IT Service Manager.

For this role as a Network Support Specialist, the successful candidate will have:

Experience of working within a dedicated Network / IT Support function, with the ability to work on your own initiative and within a team environment.

A proven track record in support within a ticket-based Service Desk function (phone, email and alert based incident management)

An enthusiastic, self-motivated attitude, prepared to go above and beyond as required to support the wider team.

Network – LAN/WAN – DHCP/DNS

Windows 7 and 10

Server – Microsoft 2008, 2016 Support & Performance Analysis

Email – Microsoft Exchange 2010, 2016 Support

Firewall – CISCO

Active Directory & Group Policy

Change, Availability & Capacity Management

SQL – 2008/2016

Data Backup Applications (Asigra/Symantec experience would be ideal)

Antivirus (Trend and forensic analysis experience advantageous)

VMware – Vsphere 6.0/6.5

Server/Desktop application support

Project, document and time management

3rd party management and escalation
