Finance and Resources Manager

My client is an independent local charity who deliver services locally, regionally and nationally. Following an organisational review, they have identified the need for a number of changes to allow them to become more entrepenueurial and foster a culture of creativity and innovation whilst ensuring the provision of excellent customer service is at the heart of all that they do.

 

They are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team and lead on continuous improvement, both within the finance team and across the wider organisation.

 

The successful candidate will hold responsibility for:

  • Supporting the CEO with the development of business strategies, plans and procedures

  • Overseeing long-term budgetary planning and cost management

  • Facilitating cross-departmental collaboration that ensures all financial, health and safety, HR and IT solutions positively support the organisation's evolving strategy, operational development and data collection needs

  • Regularly reviewing all formal financial, health and safety, HR and IT related procedures, processes and administration, recommending and implementing improvements where appropriate

  • Advising the Senior Team and Trustee Board in the management and implementation of risk and compliance matters across the organistaion

  • Overseeing the preparation and approval of all financial reporting

  • Managing cash flow forecasting, identifying trends and directing all financial project-based and departmental accounting

  • Co-ordinating audit activities and liaising with auditors as appropriate

  • Arranging new sources of finance for the company's debt facilities and ensuring contracted services provide maximum value to the business

 

 

You will work collaboratively with senior managers and build strong, constructive relationships across all levels of the organisation as well as externally.

 

You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience of financial and management reporting within a medium sized organisation in order for your application to be considered for this opportunity.
