Account Manager

Overall Purpose

Reporting directly to the National Account Manager the primary purpose of the Account Manager post is to ensure the continued growth and success of NHS Fleet Solutions’ business, as well as their sub brand Home Electronic Solutions. This will include providing effective desk-based account management and helping to maintain client satisfaction levels generally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of approximately 50 clients remotely from head office

  • Effective identification, research and making sales meeting appointments for field-based account managers

  • Manage the Senior Support Officer’s activity planning and task completion

  • Support with arrangements for and occasional attendance at trade shows and client events

  • Support the production of proposals, tenders and other contractual documentation

  • Contribute to the overall business promotion and client marketing strategies, including tailored materials and IT solutions

  • Coordinate inter-departmental communication with a variety of stakeholders

Person Specification

  • Sales and account management background essential, with previous experience and proven success in managing client satisfaction and achieving sales/business development targets

  • Ability to consistently generate new sales from maintaining and developing effective relationships with both new and existing customers

  • Flexibility of approach, preferably including evidence of sales across a number of different customers

  • Experience of selling vehicle solutions and / or salary sacrifice products would be highly desirable

  • Ability to build and maintain a network of productive business relationships and contacts

  • Excellent IT skills are essential

  • Previous experience of using a customer relationship/contact management (‘CRM’) system is highly-desirable

  • Must possess excellent customer relations and communication skills
