Operational Risk and Conduct Officer

The Operational and Conduct Risk Officer will lead the second line input and challenge of the approach to Operational and Conduct Risks and Controls. Supporting the Risk and Compliance Manager in monitoring and providing advice, assistance and oversight on Operational and Conduct Risks matters across the business.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience of Operational Risk Analysis and Reporting including regulatory/compliance analysis.

  • Experience of reviewing controls and recommending new or additional controls

  • Experience reviewing and analysing past operational incidents and making recommendations thereafter

  • Excellent communication skills as the successful candidate will be required to work independently across all business functions

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills

  • Extensive experience within the Financial Services or Banking industries is highly preferable

  • Relevant professional qualifications are desirable.

  • Well-developed organisation skills.

  • Able to apply external regulations to Operational Policies and Procedures, reporting areas of improvement to senior management.

  • Comfortable in presenting to senior management.

  • Be able to work to strict timescales.
