£45,000 p.a pro rata

 

Our client based in Newcastle upon Tyne are looking to recruit a Product Manager on a 6 month fixed term contract.

 

We are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience of working in a product management software solution team or function. Experience of managing projects with different teams and stakeholders at all levels.

 

As Product Manager you will be required to:

 

  • Capture customer insight to driver product and proposition delivery

  • Work proactively with many teams across the business. A key relationship is with the Customer Experience team and those across the business with relevant, informed and knowledgeable customer insight.

  • Work with external partners and suppliers

  • Understand the customers and the market and be fully aware of market segmentation, opportunity evaluation, identification of optimum routes to market and strong appreciation of the competitive environment.

  • Work with the market research team to define the research needed to obtain market information and customer understanding

  • Provide the source information for product communications to the relevant teams and external companies, and define product marketing communication objectives

  • Develop business plans in conjunction with the pillar lead, product managers and customer teams for review by the Leadership Team, to turn opportunity research into business justification

  • Maintain professional, technical and product knowledge.

  • Produce timely plans, reports and relevant documentation with key performance indicator monitoring.

  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbally and be comfortable delivering presentations.

  • Present to internal and external audiences to promote a clear understanding of our products and development activities.

  • Travel on occasions to meetings, including overnight stays away from their normal place of work.

 

Skills/ /Experience required:

  • Strong analytical skills, and the ability to financially assess and present opportunities to senior management

  • Strategic planning and vision, market launch, positioning and messaging skills

  • Ability to research interpret and clearly communicate market trends

  • Ability to identify and respond to customer and commercial opportunities

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (desirable)

  • Ability to make decisions under pressure

  • Strong planning and organisational skills

  • Ability to prepare and write proposals

  • Ability to report activity in clear, concise terms

  • Solid understanding of financial responsibilities, and return on activities
