One of the UK's leading independent providers of discretionary wealth management is looking for a Risk Partner to join their team in the Newcastle Office.

This is a specialist role where you will have responsibility and ownership for the Risk and Control Framework in Operations.

The successful candidate will be required to have 1st Line of Defence Risk experience, with expertise on building departmental Risk Assessments.

Cass Knowledge is preferred but not essential.

Within this role you will undertake day to day identification, the monitoring and escalation of any key risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant external regulations and internal rules and policies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the management of risks and controls within Operations

  • Support and advise the Risk Partner to set and assess the risk appetite

  • Support the development of Operations’ risk and control reporting framework

  • Collaborate with Senior Operations Management to ensure the delivery of the Operations’ Strategy and BD Group strategy

  • Ensure operational activity is executed to deliver excellence in client service.

About you

  • Good standard of education in GCSEs or equivalent is essential

  • Experience of Risk and Control management in a complex and highly regulated environment

  • Ability to coach and develop others.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
