Are you excited by the prospect of shaping and visualising new product updates?
As a Product Designer you will be a key member of a multi-skilled, solution focused product team.
You will be shaping new developments aligned to agile delivery principles, as well as forming product knowledge in the prop tech space.
You will have experience of designing for a range of systems, platforms and devices to shape and bring to life user stories and needs that improve experiences and deliver value to customers.
You will ensure user research and hypotheses are elicited collaboratively, documented professionally, agreed formally, owned and tested by you throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the delivery is in line with user expectation.
Office working in Newcastle and remote working are available.
The Product Designer is responsible for liaising with the development team and Software Project Manager, Business Analyst, Group Product Manager and end users to deliver user-centred designs and end-to-end experiences for platforms that deliver the businesses vision and stated objectives.
Key responsibilities will include:
Help cross-functional teams build and operate with strong user empathy, through usability research and other data collection methods (quant & qual) in order to inspire and drive data & behaviour-led development.
Regularly accept and manage feedback to iterate and optimise user personas and user-facing interactions and conversions.
Create designs at all levels of fidelity; e.g. sketches, prototypes, wireframes, and high-fidelity specs that meet requirements and deliver creative and meaningful end to end experiences that adhere to the business brand guidelines as well as industry design/accessibility standards.
Use your knowledge to visually communicate, present design decisions and demonstrations, as well as supporting the team in defining use cases, story development and acceptance criteria; rationalising user needs from user pain and opportunity points throughout the project.
Work with dev teams to answer questions/ provide relevant information, generally transfer knowledge for what needs to be delivered and provide ongoing support throughout
Ensure our products are an outstanding visual representation of the brand and set the standard for how to bring the brand experience to life through the portfolio.
Experience working in a UX/UI or Product Design role, ideally with a knowledge of user research methodology, concept testing and best practices.
Experience Designer, Interaction Designer, Product Designer or similar qualification.
Creative problem solving skills; empathetic and open minded to solving user problems.
Experience of using Adobe XD/InVision or other wireframing and prototyping tools.
Excellent attention to detail in both documentation and design work.
Confident in presenting your research and design work to elicit feedback.
Understanding of design and development in an agile environment.
Good team player - a proactive member of the team who contributes to the team’s priorities and results.

Organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage your own workload and prioritise.

Understanding of technical requirements needed to translate designs
Front end development experience
Experience with Jira or equivalent
Experience of using feedback tools such as Look.io or similar.
