We require a strong front-end developer to work as part of a small team of developers and designers, delivering microsite and ECRM solutions on time and on budget suitable for FMCG clients. You will be heavily involved in the planning of key phases and leading the architecture and development of projects, working closely with both the Digital team and client.

 

You will need to be comfortable briefing account managers as you are supporting junior members of the team. You’ll have strong communication skills and understand that collaboration is key to finding the correct solution for each client.

  

You’ll use clear and pragmatic communication skills to help the team juggle multiple deliverables at any given time. Creatively and technically there is the opportunity to push boundaries, learn new skills and receive training while attending industry-related events to deepen digital knowledge. The opportunity for career progression is of high priority also.

  • Ability to work with our internal creative team and take the project from XD visuals to final deliverables with accuracy

Essential Qualifications & Skills 

 

  • Needs to be used to working from a list of user requirements. 

  • Familiar with using gitlab or github to manage/clone repositories to work in, as well as working in development branches and having their work reviewed and merged once approved. 

  • MUST have experience in developing for a CMS, taking into consideration changeable content, specifically Umbraco and Piranha.

  • Working knowledge of Adobe XD / Photoshop and know their way around enough to access designs and retrieve assets. 

  • Solid, proven understanding and practice of front-end tech such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript. 

  • Ability to build front end solutions with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring search engine, accessibility, and performance optimisation. Translating PSD visuals to HTML with accuracy.

  • Comfortable working with CSS preprocessors such as LESS and SASS, as well as using build/compilation tools such as GULP. 

  • Experience working with closely with a Back-End developer to plan required API endpoints for data retrieval/capture.

 

 

Desirable

 

  • Experience of email marketing and builds/testing specifically. 

  • Experience tracking custom Google Analytics events using Google Tag Manager 

  • Comfortable with creating and updating Razor C# views  

  • Experience navigating SQL Databases to test work and retrieve data 

  • Experience in working with larger brands 

  • Examples of previous work and evidence of personal projects
