Internal Sales Executive

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to all customer enquires in a professional manner and within the time scale agreed.

  • Quoting customers for their requirements promptly.

  • Sourcing material to satisfy orders following up previous quotations.

  • Meet or exceed the gross profit target from each allocated customer.

  • Identify available split by product for each allocated account.

  • Review results monthly, identifying tactics to develop the full potential.

  • Achieve the product targets set for each allocated customer.

  • Identify available split by product for each allocated account.

  • Review results monthly, identifying tactics to development the full potential.

  • Control stock levels of customer special items within the limits agreed.

  • Agree call off orders in witting with a date for final delivery.

  • Regularly discuss and review with customers.

  • Administer all customer orders efficiently and accurately.

  • Ensure purchase orders are progressed with suppliers to ensure customer orders are delivered on time.

  • Entering customer's orders into the computer system.

  • Enter purchase order details onto the computer system.

 

Essential skills

  • Experience from the following sectors would be beneficial – electrical wholesale, timber merchant and construction/building supplier.

  • Adopt different sales tactics when necessary.

  • Able to build relationships, adapting to different personalities.

  • Strong client service, account management experience

  • Negotiating - User’s "trade-offs" when buying and selling to achieve the best return on investment.
