Our manufacturing client is looking for a Quality Engineer to join them on a permanent basis at their site in Flaxby.

Job Role

  • The Quality Engineer will take ownership of the quality of schemes from the pre-project phase, through the manufacturing lifecycle, site delivery and installation up to the point of handover to the customer

  • Actively participate in the resolution of non-conformances, using information collected from Operational teams and conducting problem-solving using statistical and analytical techniques to develop robust solutions and prevent recurrence

  • Influence, coach and mentor the Quality Technicians and interface with other key teams, such as Operations, Design and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure standards are understood and are used to deliver on time and fully compliant product

  • Ensure that identified improvements are executed in accordance with the control process

  • Assure quality readiness through the development cycle of new products, their launch, production process and installation. This will include defining Quality Standards and Records

  • Define and assure inspection checks for each element to assure that standard work to the design is being met

  • Tasked with the provision of data to feed quality metrics and, in collaboration with other stakeholders, drive continuous improvement processes 


  • Background in quality engineering / quality management

  • Passion for Quality

  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering or construction environment

  • Auditing to standards

  • Takes ownership/accountable

  • ISO and auditing experience, knowledge of quality planning tools & methodologies including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)

  • Engineering or technical degree preferred

The role is Monday to Friday within factory hours however may on occasions require travel to differing customer sites to ensure production and installation has been done correctly.
