Manufacturing Engineer

Our international manufacturing client is looking for Manufacturing Engineer to join them at their site in Washington.

Job Role

• Responsible and accountable for the manufacturing processes of a defined area within the Washington site

• Provide technical support to the skilled and semi-skilled workforce in your area

• Create and review technical drawings

• Generate, edit and control CNC programs

• To support the delivery of a right first time manufacturing process

• To lead and support Continuous Improvement (CI) activities and initiatives using lean principles and modern manufacturing techniques

• Support the introduction of new products and processes by providing a safe and efficient means of manufacture, including the creation of accurate Engineering Instructions

Skills/Experience

• Experience and understanding of CNC Lathe Turning

• Experience of manufacturing and engineering processes

• Problem solving (cause, remedial action and corrective action)

• Continuous improvement attitude

• Ability to plan, introduce and optimise process changes, following the change management process

• Able to improve process output through reduction in waste and process optimisation
