Development Procurement Controller

Our international manufacturing client is looking for a Development Procurement Controller to join them on a permanent basis.

Job Role

• Responsible for the procurement strategy within the developmental part of the product life-cycle

• Discovering new suppliers and supply chain routes, expediting strategies and undertaking negotiations for products and services

• Quickly identify, appraise, source and select suppliers in line with procurement strategy

• Carry out commercial and contract management negotiations including agreement of terms and conditions

Skills/Experience

• Experience within a procurement or sourcing function

• Proven track record of supplier performance management

• High drive for action and execution

• Ability to work under pressure and to tight time-scales

• Excellent negotiating and influencing skills

This a full-time role and occasional travel will be required in order to build and monitor the supplier base.
