NRG’s client, an established engineering company based in Newcastle upon Tyne are looking for an experienced IT Support Technician. You will be an active part of a support team that provides 1st and 2nd line IT support to a global business. Primarily remote support for UK and overseas offices, but some hands on site work may be required.
General Duties & Responsibilities
Monitor and respond to helpdesk queries that are logged through an electronic ticketing system.
Ensure company IT policies are adhered to across the British Engines Group.
To have excellent communications skills.
To undertake further training when considered appropriate.
Ensure that you work in a safe manner and comply with the company’s Health & Safety Policy.
To carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
Knowledge of MS Desktop Operating systems and Office applications.
Basic understanding of TCP/IP Networking.
Good level of understanding around IT security.
Recognised IT qualification and/or training.
Minimum 1 year IT support experience.
Experience with IP Telephony and Android mobile devices.
Salary: £23,000 plus fantastic benefits.
