Purpose of the role

The account director is responsible for the strategic direction of client accounts. You will be asked to work on a number of client accounts at any one time.


Salary: £40,000 - £45,000


Key Responsibilities

• The planning and developing of a portfolio of accounts.

• Understanding and supporting clients overall business aims and objectives.

• Monitoring client budgets.

• Maintaining and developing relationships with clients. This may include corporate hospitality/socialising with clients out of work hours.

• Delivering client objectives within a predetermined timescale.

• Attending regular strategic and review meetings with client.

• To brief creative team on client objective.

• Identify revenue opportunities both existing clients and new business acquisition.


Managing people

• Managing, training, motivating and developing your team to add value.

• Developing and maintaining good working relationships with the creative team and all

other departments.



• Responsible for account/project profitability and agreed fee income.

• Responsible for negotiating and establishing financial arrangements with clients.

Maintaining an in-depth understanding of financial status of accounts at

all times - this will involve liaison and support to the accounts department.

• Identifying opportunities both new and existing to increase revenue streams.
