Mortgage Propositions Manager

Purpose of the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Customer Propositions, the role holder will be responsible for the development and day to day management of the mortgage products. This includes: helping to guide and prioritise proposition design, product roadmaps and strategy; clearly articulating business value and managing financial performance in conjunction with key stakeholders.

The role holder will be a specialist in all aspects of mortgage products and their responsibilities will include product design, pricing, performance management, assessing external changes, market opportunities and customer needs, propositional regulatory/compliance adherence and risk management.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Sales performance – customer take-up / intermediary sales

  • Product usage

  • Customer satisfaction / engagement

  • Mix of mortgage customers: new / existing

  • Customer retention / attrition

  • Feedback from customers and brokers

  • Product related complaints and online customer and/or critic reviews.

  • Product revenue and balance sheet growth

  • Audit reports and findings

  • Not-Taken-Ups and customer journey click-stream analysis

 

Essential Capabilities/Experience (IQ)

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in mortgage product management within retail banking FS

  • Up-to-Date regulatory knowledge

  • Experience of managing pricing and risk strategies for mortgage products

  • Highly numerate / attention to detail

  • Commercially astute and customer oriented.

  • Influencing and stakeholder management skills

  • Up to date external market knowledge / FS market trends
