Purpose of the role:
To take ownership of thecontent strategy for the website:
Create, develop and evaluate digital content focussed on the delivery of high value engaged audiences and delivering measurable benefits for the business.
Utilise HTML and web content management systems (CMS) to publish digital content including web pages, images, videos, blogs, guest articles and reviews.
Conduct content audits to identify gaps and redundancies in the site content.
Create and implement content schedules for stakeholders and the wider Marketing team to produce or update content.
Produce maps and visualisations of the site to help staff understand the structure and function of the website.
Write and edit web copy.
Develop editorial guidelines, user guides and policies relating to web content such as house style in line with tone of voice and brand.
Analyse web analytics data to learn how users interact with the site.
Survey users internally and externally and hold focus groups to learn how the site is viewed.
Report on website performance and content popularity.
Work with the Digital Marketing Coordinator to measure, refine, optimise and continually improve our content standards in order to meet our business objectives.
Work with the Social and PR Executive to ensure maximum reach of content and alignment with other digital content channels.
Measure of Success
Content plans and standards produced and implemented well in advance of internal and external events, campaigns and launches.
Improvement in the content quality/engagement metrics (e.g. bounce rates, time on site, pages per visit etc.)
Improvements in repeat visitors and audience engagement.
Increase in measurable benefits from our content e.g. registrations, product leads, sign ups.
Increased amplification of content – social shares, back links, external coverage.
