NRG is delighted to again support the Sunderland Economic Leadership Board’s Work Discovery Programme.
The programme, which is now in its fourth year helps to improve the employability skills of young people in Sunderland.
Many schools are participating in this programme which offers pupils the opportunity to participate in activities designed to help them to discover the skills and behaviours needed to pursue a successful career.
Julie Mordue, Business Development Manager, NRG goes on to explain;
“We are very pleased to once again support the Work Discovery Programme. NRG recognise that investment in education, training and development genuinely has a positive impact and this is a fantastic way to offer support to the region’s businesses and candidates.”
Are you a business with a contact centre function?
Last year, in addition to hosting Work Discovery Week, the Work Discovery Programme included sector specific days which focussed on manufacturing, education, hospitality, health and care and software. This year the organisers are keen to invite businesses with a contact centre function to participate in the series of events and sector days.
Members of Sunderland’s Business Schools Task Group, the sub group of Sunderland’s Economic Leadership Board with responsibility for driving forward the Work Discovery programme are keen to meet with leaders from the contact centre community to discuss involvement for their 2015/2016 programme.
An exploratory meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday 22nd September at 11am at Evolve Business Centre, Cygnet Way, Rainton Bridge South Business Park, Houghton le Spring DH4 5QY.
