Flexibility is vital as positions can be based at any one of the three North East locations, you therefore must have the ability to travel to any site, ensuring that this can be at all times to work any of the relevant shift patterns.

Typical roles that we recruit for at Calsonic Kansei include:

Production/Machine Operators

  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive industry but full training will be given.
  • Working on a fast paced production line, operating/setting machines including Press, Injection and CNC.
  • Using general hand tools to complete duties.
  • Conducting various aspects of quality inspection.
  • Knowledge of general workplace housekeeping standards and an awareness of working with H&S legislation in a manufacturing environment.
  • Can work consistently to a high standard without supervision and hit regular targets.

Successful applicants will be expected to:

  • Work as a key part of a team within operations
  • Attend & contribute to daily team briefings
  • Work in a targeted environment to ensure daily schedules are achieved
  • Complete daily reports & paperwork where necessary

High Volume Assembly Operators

  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive industry but full training will be given.
  • Working on a fast paced production line, assembling various automotive parts by hand.
  • Conducting various aspects of quality inspection.
  • Knowledge of general workplace housekeeping standards and an awareness of working with H&S legislation in a manufacturing environment.
  • Can work consistently to a high standard without supervision and hit regular targets.

Successful applicants will be expected to:

  • Work in a targeted environment to ensure daily schedules are achieved
  • Complete daily reports & paperwork where necessary

FLT Driver/Warehouse Operator

  • Experience of operating a FLT in a warehouse environment is essential.
  • Must hold an external Counterbalance license, Reach is also preferred.
  • Safely transport various automotive parts to and from a production line.
  • Relocating goods in and around the warehouse.
  • Loading and unloading lorries.

Successful applicants will be expected to:

  • Complete daily reports & paperwork where necessary

Quality Inspector

  • Experience of inspecting automotive parts is essential.
  • Regular use of measuring equipment such as gauges.
  • Being the final point of inspection prior to being sent to the customer.
  • Knowledge of general workplace housekeeping standards and an awareness of working with H&S legislation in a manufacturing environment.

Paint Sprayer

  • Experience of working within the paint spraying industry is required, preferably within the automotive industry but full training will be given.
  • Knowledge/experience of using spray guns and mixing paints.
  • Re-working parts as required.
  • Hand assembly of car parts may also be required.
  • Knowledge of general workplace housekeeping standards and an awareness of working with H&S legislation in a manufacturing environment.
  • Can work consistently to a high standard without supervision and hit regular targets.

Production Operator – Welding Experience - CKWA

  • Experience of working in a manufacturing/engineering environment with fitter/turner/CNC bending experience is preferred.
  • Ideally MIG or other welding experience essential, some manufacturing/engineering background.
  • Knowledge of setting up/running machines including welders is preferred.
  • General production experience would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of general workplace housekeeping standards and an awareness of working with H&S legislation in a manufacturing environment.
  • Can work consistently to a high standard without supervision and hit regular targets.

Calsonic Kansei primarily operate across a rotating 3-shift pattern and applicants are required to be flexible to work across all shifts, which are:

Washington & Sunderland
Early 07:00 – 15:05 (Mon – Fri)
Late 15:00 – 23:05 (Mon – Thurs) & 15:00 – 23:10 (Fri)
Night 20:45 – 07:05 (Sun) & 23:00 – 07:05 (Mon – Thurs)
Nissan
Early 07:00 – 15:35 (Mon – Fri)
Late 15:30 – 23:20 (Mon – Thurs) & 15:30 – 23:10 (Fri)
Night 20:45 – 07:05 (Sun) & 23:00 – 07:05 (Mon – Thurs)
